Service Process
What to Expect from Your Service Visit
We’re committed to your comfort and safety, so we want to make sure you know what to expect.
A Proven Process
We believe in doing things the right way, every time. When you’re contacting Oak View Mechanical with your HVAC or plumbing concern, here’s what you can expect:
Contact Oak View Mechanical
When you call or email our office, we’ll be ready to answer your questions and schedule an appointment.
Appointment window
Our appointments have a two-hour arrival window. You’ll receive a call from our service technician 30 minutes before he or she arrives at your home.
technician Arrives
Our friendly technicians will arrive in a company van and uniform, so you’ll know it’s us. Our techs are careful to place booties on their shoes as needed to avoid tracking any debris into your home.
Assessment
The tech will discuss with you any problems you’re having with your indoor-home comfort and proceed with the service or diagnosis.
Repair
Before doing any repairs, the tech will discuss the repair and cost with you to get your approval. Then, if approved, the tech will do the repair immediately, if he has the parts in the truck. The tech will also clean up the area once the repair is completed.
Replacement
If it is more cost effective to replace equipment rather than repair it, the technician will gather information about your existing equipment, whether or not your home meets current building codes, and the features and benefits you may want in any new equipment. The technician will work up an estimate and email a formal quote to you for your consideration.
We do not hire paid salesmen, so there is no incentive for our technicians to “sell” you more than you need.
If the quote is more than you expected, you may discreetly apply for financing from the “Financing” tab. You do not need to discuss your personal financial situation with our technician.
PAyment
After completing the repair, the tech will explain to you what was done, and then will collect payment by check, credit card, or cash (though techs don’t carry change). You can have your receipt emailed or mailed to you.
